They used this on the EPSN's SportsCentury's episode for Secretariat. One of the finest melding of music and athletics. You won't see another massive Chestnut the likes of him.

Though it never occurred to me at the time, the V Main Title Theme - which I have always loved - seems touched by Carpenter's Escape From New York theme (also great!).

I wonder if anyone realizes that this theme was heavily “inspired by” Peter Gabriel’s 1982 song “The Rhythm of the Heat”?

This sounds way too similar to Peter Gabriel's Rhythm of the Heat to be a coincidence. Whoever composed this must have heard it at some point before making this.

I have never seen this show. I didn't watch sci-fi when I was a kid because it creeped me out. But I have always loved the opening theme. It was one of my mom's favorite shows. Need to watch it sometime.

Always loved V. My kids 11, 8, 6 and 5 all watch it with me when I have it on. This theme was so intense and perfect for the next chapter of V after the original miniseries. Btw, even my kid’s favorite is when Micheal Ironside makes his first appearance and starts wasting the visitors. Perfect.
